Leading aquaculture researchers from all over the Nordics and Baltics attended a two-day seminar in Norðurlandahúsið (the Nordic House) in Tórshavn in May 2023.
The programme also included a trip to Fiskaaling, where they were briefed about current research activities and projects at Fiskaaling.
NordForsk is an organisation under the Nordic Council of Ministers that provides funding for and facilitates Nordic cooperation on research and research infrastructure. Since 2005 the Faroe Islands had Observer Status in the NordForsk Board, but it was a long-standing political wish in the Faroe Islands to obtain full membership in the Board. In January 2023 the Faroe Islands got full membership in the Nordforsk Board.
