Fiskaaling’s fifty years anniversary will be celebrated in the Nordic House on Tuesday 22 September at 3.00 pm.
Fiskaaling Inc. was founded in 1970 to supplement the initial investment in aquaculture trials. In close cooperation with international fish farmers, these Faroese pioneers realized the vision of creating a profitable Faroese aquaculture industry. However, learning how to work within the limits of nature takes experimentation, innovation, and time to gain experience.
Fiskaaling Inc. was instrumental in making this possible.
Today, Fiskaaling operates exclusively with long-term and advanced research with the aim to build internationally recognized knowledge for sustainable aquaculture.
The programme includes the Minister of Industry, industry representatives, and author Helgi Jacobsen will present and sign copies his new book about Fiskaaling.
