FjordProcess

The project aims to investigate the relationship between pelagic productivity and the food web in Faroese fjords and sounds. A key focus is the connection between fjords and the Faroe Shelf, including how productivity on the shelf influences fjords and whether fjord productivity also affects the shelf.

The project is a collaboration between Havstovan, Aarhus University, and Firum. Firum leads the development of an ecosystem model for Tangafjørður, which will be coupled with their hydrodynamic ocean model FarCoast. The project will also contribute to building a time series of pelagic conditions in a Faroese fjord.
